Tables of Content helps DC-area strangers become a part of each other’s social circles through discussion of shared interests. We curate cozy gatherings centered around common interests and meaningful conversation.

Come gather around the table with like-minded individuals, and (hopefully) leave as friends! Meeting new people in a big city is hard, so let us help bridge that gap and build our community.

Tables of Content is a monthly curated dinner series designed to spark meaningful conversations among curious people, with a longing to make new connections outside of the standard channels.

Each month, we bring together 10 dinner guests for a conversation centered around a thoughtfully chosen topic. You simply sign up for the dinners that resonate with you - the ones whose themes spark your curiosity or feel especially relevant. By choosing the conversations you’re genuinely excited about, you’ll naturally connect with like minded people, share ideas that matter to you, and build real friendships along the way!

What?

Adults deserve spaces to connect deeply, think broadly, and build community beyond work, routines, and screens. Making friends in DC can be surprisingly hard - especially if you’re not meeting people through dating apps, sports leagues, or book clubs. Sometimes you just want to sit down and talk about something that actually interests you. As we get older and move away from academic spaces, those opportunities to learn, share ideas, and spark real connection become fewer and farther between.

Tables of Content was created to change that: a place to explore new topics, meet people who are genuinely curious, and build a community that grows with every conversation.

Why?

We curate the space, set the vibe, and kick off the evening with a few light conversation starters. After that, everything unfolds organically - real people, real curiosity, no panels, no scripts. You come for dinner, enjoy the experience, and afterward we bring everyone into our community channels so the dialogue doesn’t end when the night does.

Every setting will be relaxed, welcoming, and designed so no one ever feels awkward or out of place.

Topic: Finding Your People as an Adult | Modern Friendship & Adult Community

Making friends as an adult looks very different than it did in school or early career — schedules are fuller, routines are set, and chances to meet new people don’t always come naturally. This month’s dinner will explore how friendships evolve over time, what it really takes to build community in adulthood, and the small but meaningful ways we can create deeper connections in our everyday lives. Together, we’ll share stories, reflect on what we value in relationships now, and talk about how to find (and keep) your people in this season of life.
